Pam – 50 – Hometown HendersonNC
I was legally married to my partner in the great state of Vermont on September 1st of this year. While on the honeymoon to the great state of Maine, I learned that Marriage Equality was under attack. After experiencing my own wedding, I decided to stay in Maine and join the volunteer team and do whatever I can to protect Marriage for all Maine Families.
The best experiences so far have been that I have been moved by the true diversity of this campaign. Mainers are coming together from across the state to stand with each other in the true Maine fashion. The NO on 1 Campaign is a mix of young and old, straight and gay, all races, genders and income ranges.
Maine has proven a place that is truly welcoming to me in a way I have never felt in North Carolina. I feel that I can be comfortable being an openly LGBT person without worry of prejudice. I hope everyone will take the time to experience this campaign first hand.I have learned so much and I am looking forward to learning so much more.
